The Xennial Odyssey Podcast

In this episode Bobby Rox discusses the changing landscape related to the "Xennial" moniker. Specifically, he talks about the uptick in Facebook groups related to Xennials--ie, "Xennials(1977-1983)". Additionally, he discusses two Xennial-related podcast he has discovered ("Xennial Aviator" and "Generation In-Between"). Lastly, he discusses the negative pushback by people who say that the micro-generation is a myth. 

After a three month hiatus Bobby Rox catches you up on what's been going on behind the scenes. Specifically, he discusses Remy's work schedule conflicts with recording, and the large reason for the lack of episodes: the motor vehicle accident he was in back in early February. Additionally, he discusses the status of the Steward Hospital system (which worked with him as the hospital he went to was a part of the Steward system) and provided some teasers for some future content. 

While Remy continues settling in to his new job, Bobby Rox decided to record a solo rambling with updates since the Festivus episode as well as some things he and Remy have going as we enter the new year. 

Remy and Bobby Rox discuss the holiday of Festivus, also known as the airing of grievances and demonstrations of feats of strength. Since Festivus is typically held on the 23rd of December, we felt that it was fitting to release the episode today. Topics discussed include the origins of Festivus, some grievances both Remy and Bobby have had over the last year, and an airing of a grievance from a listener. 

While Remy is away Bobby Rox decided to play in the studio and discuss things related to hopes for the new year (personally and professionally). 

Remy and Bobby Rox discuss the music that formed the foundation for the 90's explosion of eclectic genre's beyond Grunge. Specific Genre's include Disco, 80's Dance Pop/EDM, Hair Metal, and the Evolution of Hip Hop during the mid 80's to the mid 90's. We even discuss how Gregorian Chanting became popular in music again around '92. 

Remy and Bobby discuss their favorite content creators across all social media platforms (Facebook, Youtube, Reels, TikTok, and so on). Specific creators like @RxckSt@r. Jesse Crossen("Second Chancer"), Sheri Dias ("The Real Slim Sheri"), LackLuster, and others. Tune in and enjoy!
